If you have crawled for a while and noticed your steering is weaker than you think it should be, it might be due to the often weak BEC that is included in most electronic speed controls. One fix for that is to run an external BEC. Sometimes you don't have the time or equipment needed to solder in an external BEC, so HeyOK offers this external BEC that is really easy to install. It is small and quite efficient as it uses a switch mode voltage regulator to step down the voltage. This is the No Brainer BEC that has the optional adjustable output. You will need to use a volt meter to measure your selected output voltage.

Specifications:
Input Voltage: 7.4V - 33.6V (2S to 8S LiPo)
Current Output: 5A
Select able Output Voltage: Close to 0.0V - Input Volts
Installation: To use it, the BEC gets plugged in between your receiver and steering servo. The battery connector gets plugged in between your battery and ESC. That's it! Now the BEC that is built into the ESC only powers the receiver and the steering servo will get its power from the external BEC. Your steering servo can work harder and your ESC can relax a little as it doesn't have to put up with the high current load from steering.

Needed Items:
Voltmeter or Multi-meter to set output voltage.

Only BEC I use. Only 1 out of 15 to 20 has failed.wouldnt fire up, brand new. Thanks RPP for fast shipping all these years.

Initially, seems to be a good bec. This one turned all the way above 12v on my voltmeter. Haven't checked the amps yet but it seems to power my 7.4v servo as good or better than the internal bec on the esc. Will need to protect it from water. As usual shipping was fast.

Really is No Brainer... Plugged in, adjusted, and running in about 30 minutes. Took that long to solder the power leads to the back of my battery plug.  Adjusted easily to 7.4v after uncovering the adjustment screw.

Only cons are the short leads. Should be at least double the length for power in and rx side...

Short leads for battery and servo, plan on extensions. I will solder longer leads, but servo wire eextension would work also.
