This lets you run a winch without using up a channel on your transmitter! Save that channel for some other accessory like a lighting controller
Simply plug the double Deans style connector between your battery and ESC. Now when you push a button on the key fob remote control, full battery voltage gets switched via the same type of circuit used in the business end of the 4 amp relay output winch controller. Run from a 2S or 3S battery or connect it between your rig's 2S or 3S battery and its ESC.
