Machined from aerospace aluminum, this tool not only safely grips shock shafts, shock bodies, and shock caps; it also securely grasps plastic rod ends and ball cups, they include a plunger to install and remove metal pivot balls from the rod ends. Lastly, for 1/8 and 1/10 off-road drivers there is a convenient punch for creating air vent holes in rubber tires.

5 of 5 Made replacing rod ends easy March 6, 2021

It is easy to pop in and out the ball bushings in the Traxxas rod ends. I also used these to hold the rod as I spun the ends on with a Team Garage Hack wrench that allows you to chuck the rod end in a cordless screwdriver.
