Designed more for the yeti than the bomber goes togther easy just haveing some issues with shift linkage as it’s more for the yeti just waiting on a servo saver and hopefully the bomber shifts. But support from rep is top notch and parts were at my place in Canada in 3 days. Thank you rrp

Overall part quality is good. However to install in a Bomber you need the axial servo mount and to make your own shift rod since the Yeti parts are different. Having trouble getting smooth shifts on the shift rod since it can get hung up on the transmission case and bind. Also there is increased gear noise out of the transmission with the 2 speed gears.

Think its made more for the Yeti. I had to do some servo mount engineering for my Bomber RR10.

i am a fan of SSD products...  great quality and always works great...  i put the 2 speed in my son's axial bomber...  all i can say is it was pretty easy. hardest part was getting the linkage correct and moving smoothly...  most important part is keeping it in line with the shift linkage and setting your endpoints...  i used a servo saver also...  so  far the 2 speed has about 15 miles of hard use. my 10yr old son is a little trigger happy and even though he has broke most things on the bomber, the tranny is standing up to his punishment...  i'd say if you are thinking about it, get it!!! you won't be sorry. adds a little more fun to the rig and opens her up a little on the top end....  two thumbs up from a dad and rc lover!
