5 of 5 Smooth shock but need a lighter oil December 16, 2015
Reviewer: David Grey from West Jordan, UT United States
If you watch any Komodo videos they show that these shocks are over dampened using supplied oil and recommended valving.  With the 4 hole pistons and 20 wt oil the shocks are smooth and better for crawling.  Stock settings may be better for higher speeds but crawling requires some adjustment and a $4 bottle of oil.  Great shock if adjusted correctly. RPP is amazing

These shocks are buttery smooth, and don't leak.  Just like the other reviews,  take that plastic wrench and toss it.   You need to super tighten it with pliers so they don't leak.   I put these on my SCX10 Honcho; droop puts them close to stock height; sprung adds almost an inch to the ride height.   I just have to work out the drive shaft binding issue on the front as it's keeping them from fully extending.

4 of 5 good shock for the price of 4 March 6, 2014
Reviewer: Jacob Garcia from coarsegold, CA United States
just finished assembling them so far so good don't use plastic lil wrench to tighten use real pliers to tighten firmly. instructions was kinda pointless and droop settings and sprung setting  the way they describe was kinda weird to understand. other then that a good shock I would recommend them!!!!

I absolutely love these shocks. They look good and perform even better. I have them on an Axial Wraith on the sprung setting. They sit higher, giving you more ground clearance, but are softer lowering rollovers.

Very happy with the shocks and have read a lot about how they leak badly.  It is not installer error it is lack of instruction to tell you to tighten the shock cap super tight.  Almost to the point that you think it would strip.  not using the factory oil being so thin might help also I used associated 20 weight on my Wraith and I think it needs to be softer yet for crawling.

Everyone is getting the king shocks and I'm not a follower. They are easy to put together and well built. The directions for full droop are wrong. As always RPP delivered fast and packed well.
