All Micro X2s made on or after June 2023 will again have the internal
BEC. You can check the date of manufacture on the side of the ESC box or
on the ESCs receiver wire. ESCs made between August 2022 and May 2023
do not have an internal BEC and include an external 10-amp CC BEC.

Important Product Update, 8/2/2022. Due to ongoing supply chain disruptions, the manufacturer have been unable to manufacture the Micro X2. The parts in question are integral to the onboard 2-amp BEC. In an effort to provide the Micro X2 for sale again, the manufacturer has removed the internal BEC and are including their external 10-amp CC BEC (a $24 value) with every Micro X2 purchase. This upgraded BEC has a wider range of BEC voltages and much higher current capacity. The retail price for the ESC and combos has not changed. Putting the X in Extreme!
The Mamba Micro X2 is a refresh of our popular Mamba Micro X. This new ESC increases the maximum input voltage to 4s. We also added DATA LOGGING and our CRYO-DRIVE™ TECHNOLOGY; CryoDrive allows the ESC to run cooler and more efficiently at partial throttle. Like its predecessor, it boasts an 2 amp peak BEC,waterproof* and has SENSORED MOTOR SUPPORT.
This ESC and Motor Combo is ideal for the weight conscious builder or where space is limited, it is perfect for 1:10 scale low speed rock crawlers/trail runners on 2S-3S weighing less than 8lbs. Can also be used in more aggressive setups in lighter 1:10 scale touring cars, stadium trucks or buggies weighing up to 5lbs.
If you're looking for a more aggressive setup in a heavier rig, like rock racing and extended hill climbing, we recommend you run the Mamba X ESC. Like its predecessor it includes improved features for rock crawling, including active drag brake and drag brake ramp..
Note: Use of an external BEC is required if running a high power or digital servo.

Battery Connector required: Castle 4.0mm Polarized Connectors, Deans Ultra Plugs and XT60 are recommended.

Product Use Statements:
|
•Applying voltages higher than 16.8 volts will cause irreparable damage to your controller, voiding your warranty.
•Minimum recommended battery capacity for 1:18 scale vehicles is 1500mAh. We recommend using 30C continuous discharge or higher LiPo batteries (or high quality 25C batteries such as Traxxas® Power Cell).
•Mamba Micro X has 3.5mm bullet connectors on the motor wires and the battery input wires are bare. You must add the connector of your choice to the battery leads. We recommend a high current connector rated for at least 40 amps.

*Although the Mamba Micro X2 is waterproof, it is not intended for operation while completely submerged in liquid. They can corrode when exposed to corrosive materials, such as salt water. Always rinse the ESC with clean water after exposure to corrosives or dirt. While the controller may be waterproof, we suggest users confirm that the rest of their vehicle, including the batteries, servos, radio and chassis are also waterproof before exposing them to liquids of any kind.

Running modes: SmartSense™ Sensored and an ultra-efficient Sensorless mode.
Water Resistant Design: The sensor board is coated with silicone conformal coating to protect the sensors from moisture. The sensor connections are not water resistant; water can cause signal loss which could result in loss of sensored capabilities. Castle recommends applying dielectric grease to the outside of the sensor wire connections after installation of the wire. Routine maintenance is recommended after running in wet conditions. Please refer to this document for running and maintaining motors in wet environments.
