larger pinion side bearing and aluminum housing should keep wear to a minimum. i was able to get a perfect mesh without the pinion shim in place, ymmv.

Looks nice, but thats about it. Turned my brand new differential into a paper weight until I can order more gears because the mesh this creates destroyed mine before I even got to run it. Right bearing slot for front right tire wasn't big enough, ruined two bearings trying to seat it without tools except for a rubber block to tap in. Left side was loose enough and bearing slid in fine.No fault

I am absolutely impressed with the SSD front bulkhead. The tolerances are nice and tight, no shimming was necessary at all, and everything lined up perfectly. After countless front diff rebuilds, this could be the permanent solution. No more housing deflection, no more blowing up tiny pinion bearings. This part should be considered a mandatory upgrade for every Baja/Rock Rey.
